Time: 30 Minutes
Ingredients (4 Persons): 350 gr. Pennette (pasta), 50 gr. shelled pistachios(optional), 30 gr Butter, 1 medium onion, 50 gr. coocked ham, 200 gr. Fresh Cream, 100 gr. Pistachios pesto, Salt, pepper
Fill a pot with water and place it on the fire (here we are going to boil the pasta).
Finely chop the onion and cut into cubes cooked ham.
In a saucepan, over low heat, melt the butter and gild the onion. Add the ham, salt, pepper and cook, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes.
Add the cream and cook it for about 5 minutes, then pour the pistachio pesto, stir and cook for 10 minutes, stirring frequently, then remove from the heat.
Once poured the cream into the pan, if water, previously poured into the pot, is boiling, pour the pasta into the pan and salt to taste.
When the pasta is cooked, drain it, trying to leave a bit of cooking water, and pour into the pan where the sauce is.
Stir and serve.
Optional: If you have some bronte pistachios available then finely chop them and place them in a bowl with a teaspoon, put the bowl on the table and use this kind of pistachio flour as grated cheese.
